The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
McPherson County in central Kansas...

* until 900 am CDT Thursday

* at 858 PM CDT... local law enforcement officials reported flooding
in McPherson, where 2 to 3 inches of rain had occurred today.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
McPherson... Lindsborg... Moundridge... Inman... Galva... Canton...
Marquette... Windom... McPherson Airport and Roxbury.

This includes Interstate 135 between mile markers 43 and 76.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding!

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will continue to cause flooding
