The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
southern Jefferson County in northeastern Kansas...

* until 445 PM CDT Sunday

* at 1042 am CDT... emergency management officials reported flooding
along Muddy Creek from near 27th street to Highway 24 along KOA
Road. Also additional flooding may be occurring across southern
Jefferson country. Flooding of small streams and creeks along
with drainage from agricultural fields is expected to continue
through the afternoon.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Perry... Williamstown and Grantville.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
