Flash Flood Warning
Issued: 2:39 PM CDT Jul. 26, 2016 – National Weather Service

... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for
west central Shannon... northeastern Howell and southeastern Texas
counties...

At 238 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated that the heavy rain was
coming to an end over the warned area. However... up to three inches
of rain has already fallen... flash flooding is expected to begin
shortly.

This warning includes but is not limited to the following low water
crossings...
Route y... 4 miles northwest of Mountain View.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to travel across
flooded roads. Find an alternate Route. It takes only a few inches
of swiftly flowing water to carry vehicles away.
