Special Statement

... Elevated fire weather danger this afternoon...

Enhanced fire weather concerns will return this afternoon as
strong northwest winds combine with minimum relative humidity
values in the 30 to 35 percent range. At the present time, the
most concern resides for areas that did not benefit from any
appreciable rainfall last night, to include portions of the
Kansas City Metro. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged as
strong winds and dry surface fuels may lead to rapid spread for
any fires that do initiate.
