morning to 6 PM CST this evening.

through the late afternoon... ending around 6 PM.

advisory area. Locally higher amounts of up to 4 inches is
possible across Stark... Marshall and Woodford counties.

* Other impacts... ground temperatures in the middle 30s... combined
with air temperatures holding fairly steady in the middle
30s... could cause roadways to become slushy during the
afternoon. Drivers are advised to use caution if roadways do
become slushy.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.

Special Statement
Issued: 12:10 AM CST Dec. 4, 2016 – National Weather Service

... First accumulating snow of the season expected early morning
through early afternoon today...

A storm system will begin to spread snow into central Illinois
overnight... and will be most widespread in the morning. By
midday... warmer air will begin to cause the snow to mix with
rain... which will linger into the afternoon before ending from the
west.

Accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are expected in areas from Macomb
to Bloomington... northward through Peoria. Locations around
Galesburg and Toulon are likely to see 2 to 3 inches of snow. Much
of the snow will be confined to grassy areas... but some slushy
accumulations are possible on area roadways where the heavier snow
falls.

People planning on any travel this morning should slow down while
driving... as the snow will limit visibilities at times and may
cause slippery travel conditions on less traveled roads.
