the Illinois River at La Salle.
* From Friday morning to late Tuesday night.
* At 1045 am Thursday the stage was 15.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Friday morning and continue to
rise to near 24.0 feet by Saturday evening.The river will fall
below flood stage by Tuesday evening.
* Impact... at 22.0 feet... Riverside parking lot at Starved Rock State
Park floods.

* From Friday evening to late Saturday night.
* At 1030 am Thursday the stage was 460.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 463.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Friday evening and continue to
rise to near 463.3 feet by Saturday morning.The river will fall
below flood stage by Saturday evening.
* Impact... at 463.9 feet... water reaches top of Fox River bank at St
Elizabeth medical center in Ottawa.

in the advisory area, especially due to saturated grounds from
overnight rainfall of one to two inches.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses
as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots, including
country roads and farmland.

* Until Sunday evening.
* At 845 am Thursday the stage was 8.1 feet.
* Action stage is 11.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise to near 11.7 feet by early Saturday
morning.
* Impact... at 12.0 feet... the river begins to overflow banks in the
lowest areas.
