* From this afternoon to Saturday morning.
* At 250 PM Thursday the stage was 19.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 19.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 20.2 feet by
early Friday. The river will fall below flood stage early Saturday
morning.
* Impact... at 19.5 feet... Royce Road floods.

* at 657 PM CDT, trained weather spotters reported heavy rain across
northern Illinois due to thunderstorms. This has caused urban and
small stream flooding, especially near streams and rivers and in
low lying areas with poor drainage. Over two inches of rain has
fallen. Additional light rain is expected this evening, but no
additional heavy rain is likely.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
