The Flood Warning continues for
the Fox River near New Munster.
* At 5:00 PM Thursday the stage was 12.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Impact... at 12.2 feet... water gets into the lower levels of some
homes in the town of Salem and Village of Silver Lake.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Des Plaines river at Lincolnshire.
* Until Tuesday morning.
* At 145 PM Thursday the stage was 14.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.5 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to rise slightly near 14.8 feet
by early Friday. The river will fall below flood stage by early
Tuesday morning.
* Impact... at 14.0 feet... water begins to pond on Lincolnshire drive
at Wiltshire Lane. Londonderry Lane is closed between Lincolnshire
drive and 45 londonberry Lane.

the Des Plaines river near Gurnee.
* Until Tuesday afternoon.
* At 130 PM Thursday the stage was 10.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Tuesday morning.
* Impact... at 10.5 feet... IL Route 32(grand avenue) closes.

* Until late Monday night.
* At 130 PM Thursday the stage was 8.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Monday evening.
* Impact... at 8.0 feet... agricultural land and park lands flood. Water
approaches a few homes near Railroad tracks.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect from Friday afternoon
through Saturday morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of north central Illinois and northeast Illinois,
including the following areas, in north central Illinois,
Boone, De Kalb, La Salle, Lee, Ogle, and Winnebago. In
northeast Illinois, Cook, dupage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake
IL, McHenry, and will.

* From Friday afternoon through Saturday morning.

* Multiple rounds of thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall with
rates well over one inch per hour are likely to move across
portions of north central and northeast Illinois late Friday
afternoon through early Saturday morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
