Issued: 1:38 PM MST Jan. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 11 PM this evening to
5 am MST Wednesday...

The National Weather Service in Rapid City has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow... which is in effect
from 11 PM this evening to 5 am MST Wednesday. The Winter Storm
Watch is no longer in effect.

* Expect snow to develop after midnight tonight, continue through
the day Tuesday, and then diminish Tuesday evening.

* The heaviest snowfall rates will occur between 5 am and 3 PM
Tuesday.

* Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches are expected.

* Look for reduced visibilities at times in snow and blowing
snow.

* Plan on slippery Road conditions... including during the
morning commute on Tuesday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.
