Issued: 9:10 PM CDT Jul. 20, 2017 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Trempealeau River at Dodge.
* Until Tuesday evening... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8:45 PM Thursday the stage was 11.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 12.1 feet by
Friday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Tuesday
morning.
* Impact... at 12.0 feet... low lying roads around Dodge may flood,
including County Road p, as well as along a low spot on County Road
j south of Dodge.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Trempealeau River at Arcadia.
* Until Friday afternoon... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 7:15 PM Thursday the stage was 8.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall... dropping below flood
stage by this evening.
* Impact... at 8.0 feet... minor flooding begins. A few streets are
affected by high water, and pumping operations begin.

The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
Trempealeau County in west central Wisconsin...

* until 830 am CDT Friday

* at 826 PM CDT, flooding continues on many streams across southern
Trempealeau County. Flooding continues in the city of Galesville
mainly along West Mill Road. Water was reported over a roadway
near Centerville. Continue to heed Road closures and stay away
from flood waters.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Arcadia, Whitehall, Trempealeau, Galesville, Blair, Independence,
Ettrick, Hegg, Highway 95 and County d, Square Bluff, beach
corners, Perrot State Park, thimble park, North Creek, Peacock
Hill, Frenchville, Wickham Valley, Walek Knob and Iduna.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect from noon CDT today
through Saturday morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of northeast Iowa, southeast Minnesota, and
Wisconsin, including the following areas, in northeast Iowa,
Allamakee, Clayton, Howard, and Winneshiek. In southeast
Minnesota, Dodge, Fillmore, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Wabasha,
and Winona. In Wisconsin, Adams, Buffalo, Crawford, Grant,
Jackson, Juneau, La Crosse, Monroe, Richland, Trempealeau, and
Vernon.

* From noon CDT today through Saturday morning

* heavy rainfall of 1 to 3 inches with locally higher amounts
possible.

* Impacts could include flash flooding, additional Road
washouts, rock and mud slides, and river flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
