Winter Storm Watch
Issued: 3:11 PM CST Jan. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Tuesday afternoon
through Wednesday afternoon...

* periods of snow are expected to develop very late Tuesday
afternoon and evening.

* The heaviest snowfall rates are likely Tuesday evening and
night... with rates of 1 inch per hour and thunder possible.

* Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches are possible. There
remains some uncertainty with amounts. Any small shift in storm
track could raise or lower expected amounts.

* Very difficult driving conditions are possible... especially
given the very wet nature of the expected snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant
snow accumulation that may impact travel. Continue to monitor the
latest forecasts.
