Winter Storm Warning
Issued: 7:45 PM CST Feb. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from midnight tonight
to 6 am CST Saturday...

* mostly rain this evening will transition to a wintry mix or snow
around midnight and then diminish Friday night.

* The heaviest snowfall rates will occur between midnight and 6 PM
Friday. Some thundersnow is also possible tonight into Friday
morning.

* Total snow accumulations of 7 to 12 inches and ice
accumulations of a light icing are expected.

* Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will likely cause some blowing
and drifting snow, especially in open unsheltered areas and on
Bluff tops. Look for significant reductions in visibility at
times.

* Plan on difficult travel conditions, including during the
morning and evening commutes on Friday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow... sleet
and ice are expected. Strong winds are also possible. This will
make travel very hazardous or impossible. The latest Road
conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by

Flood Warning
Issued: 10:29 AM CST Feb. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Black River near Galesville.
* Until Sunday evening... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 9:45 am Thursday the stage was 13.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will hold nearly steady into tonight and
then start dropping Friday morning... dropping below flood stage
by Sunday morning.
* Impact... at 12.0 feet... flooding mainly impacts wildlands and
agricultural pasture land. However the approach to the south end of
the County Road vv bridge over the Black River may be flooded.
