... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 7 PM this evening to
noon CDT Thursday...

The National Weather Service in Duluth has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow, sleet and freezing drizzle... which is
in effect from 7 PM this evening to noon CDT Thursday.

* Locations... Price County, including the cities of Phillips and
Park Falls.

* Timing... rain will change to freezing rain and sleet this
evening, possibly mixing snow at times, and continue through
Thursday morning.

* Ice accumulations... around a tenth of an inch.

* Snow accumulations... 1 to 2 inches.

* Winds... north 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

* Impacts... ice and snow accumulations may create slippery Road
conditions and produce scattered power outages.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for mixed precipitation means a mixture
of freezing rain... snow and sleet is expected. Small
accumulations of snow and ice are expected on untreated roads and
sidewalks. Anyone with travel plans should be prepared for
slippery roads and reduced visibility. Slow down when driving and
allow for extra stopping distance because you may lose control of
your vehicle if you try to slow down or stop quickly.
