Watches & Warnings

Areal Flood Warning
Issued: 6:08 PM CST Feb. 21, 2017 – National Weather Service

... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 345 PM CST Wednesday for
southern Clark and central Jackson counties...

At 425 PM CST, Clark County emergency management reported that the
ice jam on the Black River upstream of Lake Arbutus has moved
downstream of Highway 95 and is now located below the Lake Arbutus
resort. Water has receded from Riviera Avenue. While there are no
flooding issues at this time, there is a large ice jam where the
Black River enters Lake Arbutus, and the areas surrounding the lake
are still prone to flooding.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
the entire shore around Lake Arbutus and below the Hatfield dam

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
