The National Weather Service in La Crosse has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
central Clayton County in northeastern Iowa...
Grant County in southwestern Wisconsin...

* until 600 PM CDT

* at 232 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Three to five inches of rain
have already fallen. An additional one to two inches of rain are
expected through 6 PM as another area of thunderstorms move across
far northeast Iowa and southwest Wisconsin. Flash flooding is
already occurring.

* Campers near rivers and streams should consider evacuation
as water levels will rise rapidly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Platteville... Lancaster... Guttenberg... Boscobel... Fennimore...
Muscoda... Cassville... Garnavillo... Bloomington... and Preston..

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
