Issued: 7:45 PM CST Feb. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from midnight
tonight to 6 am CST Saturday...

* mostly rain this evening will transition to a wintry mix around
midnight and then diminish around 6 am Saturday.

* The heaviest snowfall rates will occur Friday evening, and the
greatest amount of ice accumulation looks to occur Friday
morning.

* Total snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches and ice accumulations
of 2/10 of an inch are expected.

* Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will cause patchy blowing and
drifting snow, especially on ridge tops and in open areas. In
addition, some reductions in visibility are expected.

* The ice and snow will result in difficult travel conditions, including
during the morning and evening commutes on Friday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
