The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for poor drainage areas
for...
Dane County in south central Wisconsin...

* until 845 PM CDT

* at 551 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm moving into
Dane County producing heavy rain. This will cause Urban and Small
Stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in
minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to one inch of rain has
already fallen today.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Madison... Sun Prairie... Fitchburg... Middleton... Stoughton...
Waunakee... Verona... Oregon... McFarland... Monona... Mount Horeb...
Windsor... Edgerton... Marshall... Sauk City... deforest...
Cottage Grove... Cross Plains... Belleville and Deerfield.

Additional rainfall of 1 inch is expected over the area. This
additional rain will make minor flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... urban areas... highways... streets and
underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

... Heat advisory remains in effect until 7 PM CDT Sunday...

A heat advisory remains in effect until 7 PM CDT Sunday.

* Timing... through Sunday evening.

* Temperature... highs in the upper 80s to low 90s Sunday with heat
index values reaching 95 to 104. This will make 4 consecutive
days with heat index values over 95.

* Impacts... a heightened risk of heat related illness is
possible... especially for those working outdoors or those
without air conditioning. People on certain medications will
be more susceptible to the heat... and should take extra
precautions to remain cool.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity
will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are
possible. Drink plenty of fluids... stay in an air-conditioned
room... stay out of the sun... and check up on relatives and
neighbors.

Take extra precautions... if you work or spend time outside. When
possible... reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water.

Green... or 9 miles north of Dodgeville... moving east at 30 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail are possible with this
storm.

Madison... Fitchburg... Middleton... Waunakee... Verona... Mount Horeb...
Dodgeville... Prairie Du Sac... Sauk City... Lake Wisconsin...
Cross Plains... Lodi... Mazomanie... Spring Green... Shorewood Hills...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm... and may cause
