Issued: 2:33 PM CST Feb. 24, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 6 am CST Saturday...

The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan has issued a
Winter Weather Advisory for ice and snow... which is in effect
until 6 am CST Saturday.

* Weather... freezing drizzle will persist through the evening,
then transition to snow from west to east after midnight. Snow
will taper off early Saturday morning.

* Snow and ice accumulations... additional ice accumulation of 0.10
to 0.20 inch and snowfall of 1 to 2 inches are expected.

* Wind/visibility... north winds gusting as high as 25 mph,
becoming northwest overnight. Visibilities of 1 to 2 miles
expected in moderate drizzle and light snow.

* Impacts... the ice and snow will likely result in difficult
travel conditions, including the evening and morning commutes.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
