... A Tornado Warning remains in effect until 715 PM CDT for
northeastern Lafayette... northern green... southeastern Iowa and
southwestern Dane counties...

At 640 PM CDT, a severe squall line capable of producing both
tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage was located along a
line extending from near Mount Horeb to near Blanchardville to near
Argyle, moving east at 45 mph.

Hazard... tornado and quarter size hail.

Source... radar indicated rotation.

Impact... flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
         likely.

Locations impacted include...
Fitchburg, Verona, Oregon, Mount Horeb, Belleville, New Glarus,
Brooklyn, Monticello, Albany, Argyle, Blanchardville, Barneveld,
Dayton, Lamont, Hollandale, Mount Vernon, Yellowstone Lake St park,
Jordan center and Paoli.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Take cover now! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
Mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

This line of thunderstorms is capable of producing tornadoes and
widespread significant wind damage. Do not wait to see or hear the
tornado. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest
floor of a building.

... A Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect until 645 PM CDT
for Lafayette and Iowa counties...

At 621 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 6 miles southwest of Mazomanie to 6 miles northwest
of Blanchardville to near Darlington, moving east at 60 mph. Power
poles were reported snapped in southwest Iowa County.

Hazard... 70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to Mobile homes,
         roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Dodgeville, Mineral Point, Darlington, Shullsburg, Belmont, Benton,
Argyle, Blanchardville, Somers, Barneveld, Wiota, Highland, Arena,
Ridgeway, Avoca, Orion, Linden, New Diggings, South Wayne and Cobb.

People attending the land's end concert series in Dodgeville should
seek safe shelter immediately!

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

This is a dangerous situation. These storms are producing widespread
wind damage across southern Iowa and northern Lafayette counties.
Seek shelter now inside a sturdy structure and stay away from
windows.
