The Flood Warning continues for
the Turkey River at Garber.
* Until Monday evening... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8:15 PM Saturday the stage was 21.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 25.0 feet by
Sunday. The river will fall below flood stage Monday morning.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Turkey River at Elkader.
* Until Sunday evening... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8:45 PM Saturday the stage was 12.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall... dropping below flood
stage by Sunday morning.
* Impact... at 12.0 feet... minor flooding occurs in areas near the
river.

The National Weather Service in La Crosse has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
southwestern Clayton County in northeastern Iowa...
Fayette County in northeastern Iowa...
southern Chickasaw County in northeastern Iowa...

* until 1000 PM CDT Saturday

* at 141 PM CDT, emergency management reported the town of Volga has
been evacuated due to rising water levels along the Volga river in
southwest Clayton County. Flooding has also been reported along
the Volga river near Fayette... and along the little wapsipinicon
river near Fairbank in southwest Fayette County.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Oelwein, New Hampton, West Union, Nashua, Fayette, Strawberry
Point, Fredericksburg, Elgin, Clermont, Maynard, Hawkeye,
Arlington, Ionia, Volga, Stanley, Chickasaw, Wadena, Westgate,
Randalia and Bassett.

Flood waters are moving down the Volga river from Fayette to
Volga... and the little wapsipinicon river from far southeast
chickisaw County to near Fairbank.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.

The National Weather Service in La Crosse has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
Clayton County in northeastern Iowa...
Grant County in southwestern Wisconsin...

* until 945 PM CDT Saturday

* at 131 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported that several roads
remained closed in Grant County due to flooding, including State
Highway 81 from Cassville to Beetown. The Grant river crested at
26.45 feet near Burton earlier this morning, setting an all-time
record.

* Some locations that will continue to experience flooding include...
Platteville, Lancaster, Guttenberg, Elkader, Cuba City, Hazel
Green, Dickeyville, Cassville, Garnavillo, Bloomington,
Farmersburg, Georgetown, Beetown, Arthur, Potosi, Livingston,
Ellenboro, Glen Haven, Bagley, and Tennyson.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

unstable and unsafe.
