Special Statement
Issued: 6:21 AM CST Feb. 21, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Areas of fog in southwest Iowa this morning...

Fog had formed overnight in southwest Iowa, and visibilities were
dropping to a quarter mile in some locations early this morning.
Motorists can expect rapid fluctuations in visibilities, dropping
to a quarter mile or less in low-lying areas and in river valleys.

Be on the lookout for areas of dense fog while traveling this
morning, and be especially cautious near intersections and
Railroad crossings as vehicles and trains may be hidden from view
by the thick fog. Be cautious near school bus stops as well.

The fog is expected to lift rather quickly this morning as south
to southwest winds begin to increase.
