The National Weather Service in Gaylord has issued a beach
hazards statement, which is in effect through late tonight.

* Hazards... strong currents and high waves.

* Timing... today through tonight.

* Location... Lake Huron beaches of northeast lower Michigan as
well as eastern Chippewa and Mackinac County beaches in eastern
Upper Michigan.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high swim risk means life threatening waves and currents are
expected. Stay out of the water and stay away from dangerous
areas like piers and breakwalls.
