Special Statement
Issued: 1:01 PM EST Jan. 17, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Slick travel to continue...

Although temperatures remain just above freezing for most areas,
widespread very light rain and drizzle falling on already ice
covered secondary roads continues to result in very slippery
driving conditions. Widespread drizzle and light rain will slowly
end this afternoon and evening. Temperatures will begin to fall
this evening, resulting in refreezing of lingering water on roads.
Motorists are urged to use extreme caution when traveling this
afternoon and tonight, particularly on those secondary and
untreated Road surfaces.
