... Flood Watch remains in effect through Monday morning...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of central Michigan, south central Michigan,
southwest Michigan, and west central Michigan, including the
following areas, in central Michigan, Gratiot, Isabella,
Mecosta, and Montcalm. In south central Michigan, Clinton,
Eaton, and Ionia. In southwest Michigan, Allegan, Barry,
Kalamazoo, Kent, Ottawa, and Van Buren. In west central
Michigan, Muskegon, Newaygo, and Oceana.

* Through Monday morning

* periods of rain with embedded thunderstorms will continue into
mid morning Monday. Storm total rainfalls of 2 to 4 inches are
still expected. Locally higher amounts cannot be ruled out in
near thunderstorms.

* Rainfall amounts through 3 am were in the range of a half inch
to near an inch from Kent County south and west. Areas north and
east of Grand Rapids have had between a quarter and a half inch.

* Heaviest rain will come in three waves, the first will be around
sunrise Sunday, then another during the late morning into the
early afternoon with the final and strongest storms this evening
into early tonight as the front comes through.

current forecasts.

flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be

The Flood Watch continues for
the Grand River near Comstock Park
* from Tuesday morning until further notice.
* At 4:45 PM Saturday the stage was 9.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is possible.
* Bankfull stage is 11.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast, flood stage may be reached by Tuesday morning. The river
could reach a maximum stage of 13.0 feet by early Thursday morning.
* Impact, at 13.0 feet... abrigador trail is underwater and minor
flooding of homes occurs along abrigador trail and Willow drive.

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a
* flood advisory for
the Grand River at Lowell.
* Until further notice.
* At 08 am Saturday the stage was 7.5 feet.
* Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Forecast, the river is expected to rise to around 13.3 feet by
early Thursday morning.
* Impact, at 15.0 feet... expect minor flooding of commercial
buildings.
