The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
southern Bay County in southeastern Michigan...
Midland County in southeastern Michigan...

* until 300 am EDT

* at 1200 am EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Two to three inches of rain has
already falling across portions of Midland County, with storms
expected to continue producing heavy rain as they move east
towards portions of Bay County. Flash flooding is expected to
begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Midland, Auburn, Pinconning, Coleman, Sanford, Kawkawlin, Oil City,
Pleasant Valley, Linwood, hope, Crump, Willard, Averill,
Gordonville, Bombay, Bay City state Recreation Area and North
Bradley.

Additional rainfall amounts of one to two inches are possible in the
warned area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a

* flood advisory for...
Midland County in southeastern Michigan...

* until 300 am EDT

* at 1137 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
One to two inches of rain has already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Midland, Sanford, Port Hope, Edenville, Kinde, Oil City, Pleasant
Valley, Linwood, hope, Crump, Poseyville, Averill, Gordonville,
Bombay, Porter township and North Bradley.

Additional rainfall in excess of one inch is expected over the
advisory area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

... Flood Watch in effect until 6 am EDT Friday...

The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a

* Flood Watch for a portion of Southeast Michigan, including the
following areas, Bay, Genesee, Huron, Lapeer, Midland, Saginaw,
Sanilac, Shiawassee, and Tuscola.

* Until 6 am EDT Friday

* thunderstorm activity is expected to become increasingly
organized along and ahead of a slowly approaching cold front
between 10 PM and 6 am EDT. The thunderstorm activity may train
over the same areas.

* Rainfall rates in excess of 1 inch per hour will be likely within
thunderstorm activity. Rapid rainfall may cause flooding issues
across the area with low lying areas, and river and stream basins
most susceptible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood
warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
