Issued: 4:40 AM EDT Jul. 22, 2017 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
southeastern Tippecanoe County in west central Indiana...
Clinton County in central Indiana...

* until 745 am EDT

* at 438 am EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms across
Clinton County producing heavy rain. Doppler radar estimated that
2 to 3 inches of rain had fallen across portions of Clinton and
Tippecanoe counties since 1 am. This will likely cause flooding to
occur.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lafayette, Frankfort, West Lafayette, Rossville, Shadeland, Dayton,
Mulberry, Kirklin, Colfax, Clarks Hill, Michigantown and purdue
University.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
