The Flood Warning continues for
the Wabash River at Riverton.
* Until further notice.
* At 10:00 PM Sunday the stage was 17.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 21.5 feet by
Friday early afternoon then begin falling.
* At 22.0 feet... flooding becomes more serious. Water is approaching
critical levels on most levees. Flooding enters some river Cabins.
Flooding is at the outskirts of Palestine and Russellville,
Illinois. Flood waters near Illinois 33 between Palestine and
Hutsonville, Illinois. Many local river roads are flooded.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Wabash River at Hutsonville legacy Power Plant site.
* Until further notice.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is forecast to have a maximum value of 22.4
feet early Friday morning.
* At 22.0 feet... river Cabins become isolated. Basement flooding
begins in Hutsonville. Extensive agricultural flooding is in
progress. Higher Illinois rural roads in eastern Clark and
Crawford counties flood.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Wabash River at Terre Haute.
* Until Wednesday may 10.
* At 10:00 PM Sunday the stage was 16.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 20.7 feet by
Wednesday evening. The river will fall below flood stage Tuesday
evening.
* At 20.0 feet... extensive flooding behind Honey Creek levee as a
result of two unrepaired levee breaks from the April 2013 flood.
This levee is maintained by the Honey Creek levee association.
Flood waters behind the Honey Creek levee inundates most roads and
affects a few residences and or commercial activities.

* At 829 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that 3 to 5 inches of rain had fallen over much of the warned area
since Friday afternoon. Additional showers and thunderstorms will
continue through late tonight with the possibility of up to
another inch or two of rain in some areas. This may exacerbate
ongoing flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Indianapolis, Terre Haute, Crawfordsville, Carmel, Fishers,
Noblesville, Greenwood, Lawrence, Plainfield, Franklin, Brownsburg,
Greenfield, Lebanon, Beech Grove, Zionsville, Martinsville,
Speedway, Greencastle, Mooresville and Danville.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of central Indiana, east central Indiana, North
Central Indiana, south central Indiana, southeast Indiana,
southwest Indiana, and west central Indiana, including the
following areas, in central Indiana, Bartholomew, Boone,
Clinton, Decatur, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Howard,
Johnson, Madison, Marion, Morgan, rush, Shelby, and Tipton. In
east central Indiana, Delaware, Henry, and Randolph. In North
Central Indiana, Carroll. In south central Indiana, Brown,
Jackson, Lawrence, and Monroe. In southeast Indiana, Jennings.
In southwest Indiana, Daviess, Greene, Knox, Martin, and
Sullivan. In west central Indiana, Clay, Fountain, Montgomery,
Owen, Parke, Putnam, Tippecanoe, Vermillion, Vigo, and Warren.

* Until 8 am EDT Monday

* multiple rounds of thunderstorms are expected through tonight
on top of rain that has already fallen. Another couple of
inches of rain are possible over all or parts of the watch
area.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
