Watches & Warnings

Special Statement
Issued: 3:16 PM CDT Apr. 27, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms expected this
weekend...

Despite some dry out that will be occurring into Friday, numerous
thunderstorms with very heavy rain are expected to develop
Friday night and then again Saturday night, Sunday and Sunday
evening.

There may be a break in the heavy rain threat during the day
Saturday. But in total, an additional 2 to 4 inches could fall on
wetted grounds by the time the entire event is finished Sunday
night.

Locally heavier amounts are possible in particularly strong
storms, or over areas where storms repeat their heavy rainfall.
These heavy rains are expected to cause rises on area waterways.

Stay tuned for later updates or watches concerning this heavy
rain event.
