... Ice Storm Warning remains in effect from 7 am Tuesday to 4 PM
PST Wednesday...

* locations... Wenatchee, Chelan, Entiat, Cashmere, Waterville,
Mansfield, and Badger Mountain Road.

* Ice accumulations... of one half of an inch to three quarters
of an inch... locally up to an inch possible.

* Timing... first round of very light wintry precipitation
arrives Tuesday morning coming in the form of sleet... freezing
rain... or snow. Look for a break Tuesday afternoon with
occasional freezing drizzle then moderate to heavy freezing
rain mixing with snow and sleet at times arrives Tuesday
evening and continues through Wednesday.

* Impacts... significant ice accumulations will create
treacherous travel conditions, tree damage, and power outages.

* Temperatures... in the teens to 20s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

An Ice Storm Warning means significant ice accumulations will
make travel dangerous or impossible. Travel is strongly

Air Stagnation Advisory
Issued: 9:36 AM MST Jan. 16, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Air stagnation advisory now in effect until 10 am PST /11 am
MST/ Tuesday...

* advisory... a ridge of high pressure will persist over eastern
Washington and north Idaho through early Tuesday. This will
result in very light winds and poor atmospheric mixing. This
will likely lead to increased pollution levels near the
ground and deteriorated air quality.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

An air stagnation advisory indicates that due to limited movement
of an airmass across the advisory area... pollution has the
potential to increase to dangerous levels. Persons with
respiratory illness should follow their physicians advice for
dealing with high levels of air pollution.
