... Flood Watch remains in effect through Tuesday afternoon...

The Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of northeast Montana, including the following areas,
central and southern valley, Dawson, prairie, Richland, and
Sheridan.

* Through Tuesday afternoon

* ice is breaking up and flowing along many of the rivers and
streams across the region. An ice jam has been reported
upstream of Glendive on the Yellowstone river and is moving
towards Glendive.

* An ice jam has formed on the milk river in the Glasgow area.
This has caused the river level to rise to 21.5 feet as of 145
am MST. Flood stage for the milk river at Glasgow is 25 feet.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
