Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 11:24 PM MST Jan. 19, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 8 am MST Friday...

The National Weather Service in Missoula has issued a dense fog
advisory... which is in effect until 8 am MST Friday.

* Impacts/timing: dense fog will increase tonight along Interstate
90, Highway 200, and Highway 93 in Missoula and the northern
bitteroot. Low visibility will exacerbate hazardous driving
conditions in areas of ice and black ice.

* Visibility: less than one quarter of a mile at times. Visibility
conditions are variable and change quickly along the highways.

* Locations impacted include: Evaro hill, Highway 200 Thompson
Falls to plains, Highway 200 Trout Creek to Heron, I-90
Lookout Pass to Haugan, Bitterroot valley, Missoula, Highway
200 Bonner to Greenough, Highway 83 Seeley Lake to Condon, and
I-90 East Missoula to Bearmouth

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use
your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
