Watches & Warnings

Areal Flood Advisory
Issued: 8:59 PM PST Feb. 21, 2017 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Pendleton Oregon has issued a

* flood advisory for...
snowmelt in...
Benton County in south central Washington...
Franklin County in north central Washington...

* until 900 am PST Wednesday

* numerous County roads in Benton and Franklin counties remained
closed due earlier flooding and washouts. The heavy rain that
caused the rapid snowmelt and runoff has moved out of the area,
but some snowmelt is still expected overnight. Most areas have
saturated ground with the water slow to drain away.

Mainly dry conditions are expected Wednesday and Thursday and will
allow water to drain away. Pay attention to Road closures as the
Road beds may have eroded and become unstable.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
