... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 PM EST
Wednesday...

* locations... North Woods... portions of the Central Highlands...
Central Aroostook and the St. John valley.

* Hazard types... snow... sleet and freezing rain.

* Accumulations... additional snow and sleet accumulation of 2 to 5
inches with mostly snow west of line from Madawaska to Eagle
Lake.

* Ice accumulations... around a tenth of an inch.

* Timing... through Wednesday morning.

* Impacts... snow and ice accumulations will make many roads
treacherous and impassable. The weight of the snow and ice on
tree limbs and power lines could lead to power outages.

* Winds... northeast 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* Temperatures... in the upper 20s to around 30.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow...
sleet... and ice are expected. This will make travel very
hazardous or impossible.
