... Winter Storm Warning in effect until 5 PM MST Sunday...
... Winter Weather Advisory will expire at 11 am MST this
morning...

* what... snow occurring mainly from Stevensville through Missoula.
Then, heavy snow and blowing snow expected this afternoon into
Sunday. Snow will change to rain in the Bitterroot valley and
briefly in the Missoula valley into this evening. Total snow
accumulations of 6 to 10 inches from Stevensville north to
Missoula with isolated amounts of 12 inches. Total snow
accumulations of 3 to 7 inches are possible from Stevensville
south. Gusty west winds develop by this evening and gusty east
winds during Sunday morning, which will cause period of blowing
and drifting snow and poor visibility. A freeze-up of roadways
Saturday evening through Sunday morning will create very icy
conditions.

* Where... Missoula/Bitterroot valleys.

* When... for the Winter Storm Warning, from 11 am this morning to
5 PM MST Sunday.

* Additional details... travel will be very difficult to
impossible. Tree branches could fall. Winds gusting 30 to 40 mph
will cause widespread blowing and drifting snow and very icy
conditions. Wind chills of 10 below zero could cause frostbite
on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes during Sunday. Be
prepared for reduced visibilities at times.
