... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for the Upper Hood River
Valley... central Columbia River gorge... and the South Washington
Cascades from 8 am this morning to 4 PM PST Friday...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow and ice remains in effect from 8
am this morning to 4 PM PST Friday.

* Timing... late morning through Friday. The bulk of this event
will be snow. Some freezing rain or sleet could develop tonight
but may not change over to mixed precipitation until Friday.

* Snow accumulations... 8 to 16 inches.

* Ice accumulations... around one tenth of an inch.

* Impacts... snow and ice will make travel extremely difficult
along highways 84 and 14 as well as in the South Washington
Cascades. Some power outages are likely.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow...
sleet... and ice are expected or occurring. Strong winds are also
possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.
