The National Weather Service in Charleston has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include portions of northeast Kentucky,
southeast Ohio, and West Virginia, including the following
areas, in northeast Kentucky, Boyd, Carter, Greenup, and
Lawrence KY. In southeast Ohio, Lawrence OH. In West Virginia,
Cabell, Lincoln, and Wayne.

* Through this evening

* additional rounds of thunderstorms with very heavy rain may
result in flash flooding, especially along small streams and
in poor drainage areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
