Watches & Warnings

Areal Flood Advisory
Issued: 2:23 PM EDT Jul. 26, 2016 – National Weather Service

... The Flood Advisory for northern Kenton... northern Campbell and
southeastern Hamilton counties remains in effect until 430 PM EDT...

At 222 PM EDT... radar indicated thunderstorms with heavy rain
beginning to move east of the advisory area. Radar estimates and
rain gage reports indicate as much as 1.5 inches of rain has fallen
since 1 PM... so minor flooding may linger even after the rain exits
the area.

Minor flooding of low lying and poorly drained streets... highways
and underpasses will occur. In addition... farmland near
creeks... streams and drainage ditches will experience minor flooding.

Some locations that will experience minor flooding include
Cincinnati... Covington... Independence... Erlanger... Fort Thomas...
Newport... Edgewood... Alexandria... Elsmere... Fort Mitchell...
Villa Hills... Highland Heights... Crescent Springs...
Crestview Hills... Park Hills... Lakeside Park and Forestville.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not enter or cross flowing water or water of unknown depth.

Keep children away from storm drains... culverts... creeks and streams.
Water levels can rise rapidly and sweep children away.

To report flooding... go to our website at weather.Gov/iln and submit
your report via social media... when you can do so safely.
