... Winter Storm Warning in effect from 3 am Thursday to noon CST
Friday...

The National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued a Winter
Storm Warning for heavy lake-effect snow... which is in effect
from 3 am Thursday to noon CST Friday.

* Timing... scattered snow showers and flurries are expected today
into tonight. Heavier snow showers will expect fluffy snow to
develop late tonight. Periods of snow showers... heavy at
times... will continue to mid-day Friday.

* Precipitation rates... the heaviest snowfall is expected to occur
during the day on Thursday.

* Snow accumulations... total snow accumulation will range from 8
to 12 inches in the snowbelt of northwest Vilas County... to 2 to
4 inches in The Eagle river area.

* Impacts... the snow will lead to difficult travel conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy lake-effect snow means severe
winter weather conditions are expected. If you travel... be sure to
have a working flashlight... food... and water in your vehicle in
case of an emergency. The latest Wisconsin Road conditions can be
