Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 10:13 AM EST Dec. 4, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 1 PM this afternoon to
1 am EST Monday...

The National Weather Service in Marquette has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect from 1 PM this
afternoon to 1 am EST Monday.

Hazardous weather:

* expect wet snow to develop early this afternoon and then diminish
after midnight tonight. The snow may be mixed with rain at times
near the warming influence of Big Bay de Noc and Lake Michigan.

* The heaviest snow will occur between mid afternoon and mid evening.

* Expect visibility to be reduced as low as one half mile during the
   periods of heavier snow.

* Total wet snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are expected at most
locations. The heaviest snow will fall east of a line from
Munising to Rapid River away from Big Bay de Noc and Lake
Michigan... where locations on the Garden Peninsula should see an
   inch or less of snow.

Impacts:

* plan on hazardous driving conditions at times with reduced
   visibility and slippery Road conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions:

* a Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.

* Prepare... plan... and stay informed. Visit www.Weather.Gov/MQT
