Expect to see a continuation of light freezing drizzle, light
freezing rain and light snow through the morning hours. Snow
accumulations will generally be around an inch or less. There is a
potential for light icing to accumulate on roadways during the
early morning hours, so those traveling should use caution and be
prepared for possible slick roadways.

... A mix of precipitation along with accumulating snow early this
morning...

A mix of light freezing drizzle, light freezing rain, and light
snow will persist through sunrise across northeast South Dakota
and west central Minnesota. A light glaze of ice is possible in
some areas, including the James River Valley, as well as portions
of Highway 12 and Interstate 29. A slushy inch or two of snow is
possible as well, especially in higher terrain areas of the Coteau
across northeast South Dakota.
