... The flood advisory remains in effect until 445 PM EDT for
Richland... Marion... Ashland... Morrow... Stark... southern
Summit... Wayne... Holmes and Knox
counties...

At 209 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Up to two inches of rain has
already fallen. This is causing minor flooding over the advisory
area.

Roads were being impacted by water in the North Canton area in
Stark County near the zimber ditch/West Branch of Nimishillen creek.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Canton, Mansfield, Marion, Wooster, Ashland, Mount Vernon, Mount
Gilead, Millersburg, Massillon, Barberton, green, Alliance, North
Canton, Louisville, Orrville, Berlin, Rittman, Ontario, Lexington and
Walnut Creek.

Additional rainfall of one to two inches is expected over the area.
This additional rain will aid in minor flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
