Issued: 7:35 PM EDT May. 28, 2017 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
Geauga County in northeastern Ohio...
east central Cuyahoga County in northeastern Ohio...

* until 130 am EDT

* at 733 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain which will likely cause flooding. Between 2 and 3
inches of rain have already fallen and additional thunderstorms
were moving into the area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Chardon, Solon, Warrensville Heights, South Russell, Middlefield,
Burton, Highland Hills, Chesterland, Mayfield Heights, Aurora,
Lyndhurst, Bedford, Beachwood, Bedford Heights, Willoughby Hills,
Highland Heights, Kirtland, Pepper Pike, Parkman and Chagrin Falls.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the
warned area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
