The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
Geauga County in northeastern Ohio...
east central Cuyahoga County in northeastern Ohio...

* until 130 am EDT

* at 733 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain which will likely cause flooding. Between 2 and 3
inches of rain have already fallen and additional thunderstorms
were moving into the area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Chardon, Solon, Warrensville Heights, South Russell, Middlefield,
Burton, Highland Hills, Chesterland, Mayfield Heights, Aurora,
Lyndhurst, Bedford, Beachwood, Bedford Heights, Willoughby Hills,
Highland Heights, Kirtland, Pepper Pike, Parkman and Chagrin Falls.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the
warned area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
northeastern Geauga County in northeastern Ohio...
southwestern Ashtabula County in northeastern Ohio...

* until 715 am EDT Monday

* at 720 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported widespread flooding
in northeast Geauga County where between 3 and 4 inches of rain
have fallen earlier this afternoon. Numerous roads were reported
closed in the area. Thunderstorms remain likely in the area
through the evening and the additional rainfall will result in
more flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Montville, Hartsgrove and Thompson.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
