... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 PM EST
Wednesday...

* locations... portions of the Central Highlands... upper
Penobscot valley... interior downeast... including the greater
Bangor region.

* Hazard types... snow... sleet and freezing rain.

* Accumulations... additional sleet accumulation of up to 1 inch.

* Ice accumulations..additional one tenth to one quarter of an
inch of ice.

* Timing... through Wednesday morning.

* Impacts... icy roadways will become treacherous and impassable.
Widespread power outages are likely due to the weight of the ice
on tree limbs and power lines. Power outages possible for an
extended period.

* Winds... northeast 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Temperatures... rising into the lower to mid 30s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow...
sleet... and ice are expected. Strong winds are also possible.
This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.

* Seas... 6 to 9 feet.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 25 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
Inexperienced mariners... especially those operating smaller
vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.
