Special Statement
Issued: 5:19 AM CDT Apr. 24, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Elevated fire danger today...

As a warm front lifts north, warm temperatures will return to the
area along with breezy southeast winds and low relative humidity.
This will cause elevated fire danger conditions across the area
through the afternoon hours.

Fires could start easily and spread quickly. Check with local
authorities before considering any outdoor burning activities. Be
very careful with hot equipment near dry grassy areas and do not
throw cigarettes out of your window.

The Wisconsin department of natural resources has put all of
central and portions of east-central Wisconsin in high fire danger
category. Farther north, north-central and northeast Wisconsin are
in the moderate fire danger category. Burn restrictions may be in
place so check with your local municipality.
