... Winter Storm Warning now in effect until 5 PM PST this
afternoon for the south Willamette Valley including the Eugene
Metro area... central Coast Range of Oregon... and Lane County
Cascade foothills...

The Winter Storm Warning is now in effect until 5 PM PST this
afternoon.

* Timing... areas of freezing rain will continue this afternoon...
tapering to drizzle or freezing drizzle by this evening.
Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing most areas by
nightfall.

* Ice accumulations... additional ice accumulations of around one
tenth of an inch. Storm total ice accumulations will be around
one quarter inch.

* Impacts... roads will be very slick due to ice... especially
untreated and secondary roads. Sidewalks and bike paths will
also be very slick due to the ice.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow...
sleet... and ice are expected or occurring. This will make travel
very hazardous or impossible.
