Special Statement
Issued: 3:38 PM EDT Jun. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... A cluster of showers with very heavy rainfall will impact
northern New York through 6 PM...

Radar shows a large area of moderate to heavy rainfall spreading
across southern Saint Lawrence County into the western
Adirondacks. The high rainfall rates up to 1 inch per hour will
cause rapid rises on smaller streams and rivers, along with minor
washout of dirt roads in the higher terrain. This area is very
saturated from 1 to 2 inches earlier this morning and any
additional rainfall could quickly result in localized flash
flooding.
