Watches & Warnings

Special Weather Statement
Issued: Environment Canada
Special Weather Statement issued by Environment. 05:35 AM EDT Sunday 30 April 2017.
Significant rain expected today and Monday.

An intensifying low pressure system over Oklahoma will soak southern portions of the province today through Monday. Several rounds of rain are expected with embedded heavier thunderstorms in some areas. Total general rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 millimetres are anticipated through Monday before it tapers off. But some areas which receive more persistent thunderstorms are likely to be impacted by 50 to 75 mm. The greatest threat for this heavier rainfall is to the northeast of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay where rainfall warnings are in effect. These warnings may be expanded as warranted.
