... The Flood Advisory for central Union and west central Delaware
counties in central Ohio remains in effect until 500 PM EDT...

At 342 PM EDT... radar indicated thunderstorms with heavy rain near
and north of Marysville moving very slowly east. Up to 1.5 inches of
rain has fallen in some areas with another inch possible.

Minor flooding of low lying and poorly drained streets... highways and
underpasses will occur. In addition... farmland near creeks... streams
and drainage ditches will experience minor flooding.

Some locations that will experience minor flooding include
Ostrander... Magnetic Springs... Warrensburg... Raymond...
State Route 257 at US Route 36... Broadway and Pharisburg.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not enter or cross flowing water or water of unknown depth.

... Heat advisory remains in effect until 8 PM EDT this evening...

* heat index values... up to 104 due to temperatures in the lower
90s... and dewpoints in the lower 70s.

* Timing... highest temperatures and heat indices will occur
during the afternoon hours.

* Impacts... heat stroke... heat exhaustion and other heat related
illnesses will be possible... especially if you spend a
significant amount of time outdoors... or are involved in any
strenuous outdoor activity.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Reduce outdoor activities... especially from mid-morning through
the afternoon. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing and
drink plenty of water. If possible... spend more time in air
conditioned or well ventilated places.

To reduce risk during outdoor work the occupational safety and
health administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks
in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by
heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke
is an emergency... call 911.
