The National Weather Service in Riverton has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
snowmelt in...
southwestern Sublette County in west central Wyoming...
east central Lincoln County in west central Wyoming...

* until 500 PM MDT Wednesday

At noon Tuesday, the Green River near La Barge was at 9.3 feet.
Flood stage is 9.0 feet. The river level will continue a slow fall
tonight and Wednesday reaching around 9 feet by late Wednesday
afternoon. Widespread minor lowland flooding is likely near the
river. Area roads that could be impacted by the flood waters include
Lincoln County Road 318 near La Barge and whalen Road.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from continued snowmelt will continue to cause
flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and
other low lying spots.
